Educational Tour Coordinators (Legal/Morinville - 3 positions):
Students will review the murals of Legal and painting in Morinville and link them to the Alberta school curriculum. After this training they will explain the murals and paintings to schools, seniors and other groups. The students hired need to do the tours in French or English as requested. Should extra thime be available they will write anecdotal stories from the murals. The students will also assist in getting groups to can and visit.
Technical Coordinator (St. Albert):
This person will investigate the us of technology in setting up community networks and updating web pages. These networks involve families, teachers, students parents and seniors. Special efforts are made to include aboriginals, persons with disabilities, visible minorities, newcomers to Canada and the use of French language. The employee must support the values of CTS and their partners. Research, training and network development may take place at various sites within and outside the constituency and over the Internet. Must be bilingual in French and English. (15 weeks starting May 5).
Internet Coordinator (St. Albert):
Will research the history of St. Albert and write articles, drafts for publication in local newspaper and also update the blogs created by previous research on the history of St. Albert. (Six weeks starting May 2).
St. Albert Educational Researcher:
The student will prepare anecdotes from the history of the area for publication in the local newspapers and/or schools. Need to bilingual iin English with a strong background in French and be able to relate to the francophone components of the Alberta Education curriculum. (Eleven weeks starting May 2)
